ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
MORryde is seeking an energetic person to join our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will be highly comfortable with using technology to process and manage the accounts payable functions efficiently. This role requires someone with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt and utilize new tools within the AP process. A successful candidate will excel at data entry accuracy, enjoy working with numbers, and enjoy balancing, researching transactions, and creating numerical reports. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage digital filing systems for all AP records, ensuring compliance with internal controls
Manage accounting process for RMA’s (match to credits / follow up with vendors)
Seek approval and code vendor invoices for proper GL cost tracking
Manage electronic AP document storage system and AP OCR voucher entry software systems, and manual voucher entry when necessary
Prepare vendor weekly payments (check/wire/ACH) according to company procedures
Research and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies
Process employee mileage reimbursement requests, ensuring proper documentation
Reconcile company credit card statements by matching purchases to receipts, auditing expense reports, coding expenses correctly, and resolving any discrepancies.
Research un-invoiced packing lists and vendor statements
Maintain various cost tracking spreadsheets using Excel
Perform end-of-month procedures to assist in monthly closing processes
Add support and backup to the Front Desk Administrator (answering phones, greeting visitors and customers, etc.)
Various special projects
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills helpful. Basic Excel skills required
Must be extremely detail oriented, especially with numbers and financial data
